Chinootka Lodge is located inside Nootka Sound on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

Nootka Sound itself lies west of Campbell River and spans the distance from just outside the small town of Gold River over to Tahsis, and continues north west to the Nootka Island area.

For those who have never visited the west coast of Vancouver Island, the incredible beauty of the entire Nootka Sound region is like no other coastal area!

Just witnessing the beauty of Nootka Sound is the second best reason to go there, following closely behind the fabulous fishing that we have become so famous for.

Getting to Chinootka Lodge-

Just fly to Campbell River and we'll be there to pick you up in our comfortable, new, air-conditioned, crew cab truck. The cost for this round-trip transportation is $100 per person, plus applicable taxes.

You may choose to drive to Nootka Sound yourself. Use your own vehicle or rent one.

by road:

• Crossing on BC Ferries from Vancouver at either Tsawwassen or Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, traveling north on Hwy19 to Campbell River then head west on Hwy. 28 to Gold River.
• Guided fishing package pick up is at Cougar Creek Recreational Site, half way to Tahsis from Gold River. We will send you detailed directions before your arrival date.

by boat:

• Launch your boat at the Gold River boat launch, travel up Muchalat Inlet.
  Stay to the right all the way to the Lodge.
  We will send you detailed directions before your arrival date.

by air:

• Commercial airline:
  Fly to Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, Comox or Campbell River, rent a vehicle and drive to the designated location for pick up by boat. We will send you detailed directions before your arrival date.
• Float plane:
  Charter a float plane and land directly in front of the Lodge.
